We would like to say a huge thank you to our long time supporter and patron, Mike Read, who this time has really excelled in his kindness and support of Cliff's tennis charity.

His stint in the jungle starring in 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' produced a fantastic £61,409.38 donation to the foundation. This is fantastic and we would all like to thank Mike for his efforts for us in the jungle.

Mike loves his tennis, and is a regular player at his local club and the annual Tennis Classic, his choice of Cliff's Tennis Foundation shows his love and desire to see more children playing tennis and reaping the healthy benefits.

Plus if his new single, 'Jungle Rock', which he wrote in the jungle and recorded with his fellow jungle mates, is a hit then we are likely to get even more funds!

Despite his deprivations in the jungle, I'm really grateful to Mike for directing his charity donation to the Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation. Mike - a tennis fanatic like myself - has long been a supporter of my project, which has brought a more healthy and sociable lifestyle to literally tens of thousands of children in primary schools around the country. Although I reckon Mike was mad to do the programme, I'm glad he did'
