Tennis Bounceathon

Last year, the Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation joined forces with Sargent Cancer Care for Children to provide new opportunities for children recovering from cancer, enabling them to experience and learn tennis.

The endeavour was a great success and as a result we have recently announced another joint initiative: The Tennis Bounceathon.

Get Bouncing! Some of Trailblazers at the Bounceathon Bounceathon is a new nationwide competition for children aged between 4 and 12 aimed at introducing them to tennis. The competition is designed to get kids hitting tennis balls in a fun way, providing an introduction to the LTA's Mini Tennis programme.

Bounceathon is exciting and fun. It's a healthy activity for children and will provide a way for talented youngsters to get into sport. It's also a great fundraising initiative. Through their sponsorship the children will raise money for their school or tennis club, whilst also raising funds for charity.

One third of the funds will be retained by the school or club, one third will go to the Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation and the remaining third will go to Sargent Cancer Care for Children.

For schools and clubs this could mean additional money for sports equipment. For us charities who depend on voluntary donations and sponsorship, Bounceathon will raise valuable funds for new initiatives.

Bounceathon was announced at Wimbledon on the 4th of July in a special event attended by a number of our supporters. For the full story on Bounceathon, including a report on the media announcement, please visit our new Bounceathon website.
