The Tennis Trail visited Wirral for the third time during the week of 20th January to work with children in state primary schools. This was the Trail's first stop on its 20 venue UK Tour and brought the total number of schools visited in Wirral to 30. Looking back at the success of the Tennis Trail, Sir Cliff commented.

"Over the past 11 years I have been amazed and delighted that the Trail could have such a strong impact on the lives of so many children. When we first started we wanted to help introduce the game to children. Now we have realised that the programme has done much more, and thanks to the support and commitment of the Trail's sponsor, Intelligent Finance, we are able to continue our work."
