The British Schools Tennis Association
The British Schools Tennis Association is the governing body for schools tennis and is administered within the National Development Division of the Lawn Tennis Association.The BSTA aims to provide benefits and activities for member schools and to actively recruit new members. The BSTA also supports the Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation, supplying our teacher resource packs and providing free membership for all of the schools seen by our Tennis Trail.

The international reach of tennis makes it truly global. The ITF is the international governing body for the sport and is committed to extending the depth and breadth of tennis. Their site gives an excellent global perspective and is a good place to go to learn more about the rules of the game.

The British Womens Tennis Association

BWTA was established in 1974, originally to give female players representation in the early days of professional tennis. The BWTA encourages womens tennis in the UK, providing a tournament structure for players of all ages. BWTA members receive a quarterly newsletter "Hits & Misses", are eligible to compete in BWTA events and can take part in a ballot for Wimbledon tickets.

The ATP
The ATP is the governing body for the men's professional tennis circuit. Their site has all the latest news from the trophy and cup events around the world and offers a wealth of information about all aspects of the mens game. Click on the logo to visit their site.

The Sanex WTA Tour is the premier women' s sporting circuit in the world. The Tour hosts 59 tournaments around the globe during an 11-month schedule. Visit their site for a complete insight into women's professional tennis.

The Australian Open
The Australian Open is the first of the Grand Slam tournaments, held in Melbourne each year in January. The year 2000 tournament was won by Andre Agassi who successfully defended his title. The Australian Open site offers a detailed review of the year 2000 tournament, with interviews with the key players and includes information about next year's event.

The Hopman Cup was named after the legendary Australian Davis Cup player and champion coach, Harry Hopman. The event takes place in Australia in January each year and has recently been recognised by the International Tennis Federation as part of the International Teams Championships.
