Kids on Court Fundraising Events

The Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation is a registered charity and we're dependant on the generosity of sponsors and supporters. Each year we hold two major events that raise funds for our 'Kids on Court' Campaign.

The Cliff Richard Tennis Classic

Held at the Birmingham NIA each December, The Cliff Richard Tennis Classic is one of the nation's best loved Pro-Celebrity tennis tournament. Click on the logo to visit our Tennis Classic section.

Christmas Celebration at Hampton Court Palace

In the year 2000 we decided to organise a new Fundraising Event and held a special Christmas celebration at Hampton Court Palace. The evening was a huge success and has now become a regular fixture for us and many of the guests who enjoy the evening.

Guests at our Cristmas Celebration are treated to an evening of fine food, music and entertainment in the magnificent setting of King Henry VIII's palace, a perfect location for the event, particularly as Henry himself was a tennis player and built a court at the Palace.

Hampton Court Palace

Our 2003 Christmas celebration at Hampton Court was our most succesfull yet, raising in excess of £100,000 for our Kids on Court Campaign.

The evening was attended by a number of patrons and celebrities who kindly support our work. In addition to Foundation regulars Mike Read and Gloria Hunniford, we were joined by Greg Rusedski, the charity's Ambassador, Anabel Croft, and Tennis Legend Virginia Wade.

The guests who attended the evening were treated to some fine musical performances from Sir Cliff, Elaine Paige and Leslie Garratt, and of course, the Band of the Scots Guards, whose rousing finales have become a regular feature at the event.
